# Introduction

### Bisaar is a permissionless P2P marketplace for tokens and NFTs.

The product is currently in testing phase.

Loan out USDT or ETH in exchange for a basket of assets as collateral. Lenders can come and negotiate counter offers in order to provide a quick and easy match for both parties. An easy to use messaging service that is public makes negotiations easy and fast.

The feature set is described in [Key features](/overview/key-features).

A detailed overview is provided in the form of video guides here [Guides](/guides/creating-an-offer).

# Key features

1. **P2P Loans** and **Bid** mechanic.
2. **Batch** of NFT and ERC20 assets.
3. **Borrower Option** to either **Hold-Till-Repayment-Date**; or allow **Claim** early if underwater.
   1. Hold-till-repayment-date --- serves as an option and deserves increased interest rates.
   2. Claim --- similar to liquidations in normal borrow-lend protocols.
   3. Implied swap if the borrower has no intention to repay.
4. **Social interactions** via counter offers and discussions about them, just like on a real live marketplace.

### Next steps

* Editable user profiles (twitter, user profile image, background)
* User score system
* Statistics regarding users (end of September)

# Problem/Hypothesis

1. Pool-to-pool (Aave, Rari Fuse) are unable to provide optimised loan terms (high LTV, wide range of collateral assets, low interest rates, predictable interest rates) due to:
   1. systemic risk of adding new assets as collateral.
   2. large thresholds for safety for LTV, health factor, and liquidation penalties, liquidation game theory, and liquidator risk premiums especially during times of market volatility.
   3. lenders prefer to have their loaned assets back, instead of claiming collateral.
2. Pool-to-pool has systemic risks brought on by adding new collateral assets.
3. Lending platforms are not generating enough fees for the platform owners.
4. Bluechip DeFi yields are currently low. New DeFi or bridge protocols have been exploited. Whale and institutional lenders are looking for low risk, moderate yield opportunities.
5. NFT P2P loan products are niche and limited addressable market due to asset base (bluechip NFTs, versus all ERC20s).

# Users and roles

### User types

1. **Borrower**
   1. Have a basket of assets they want to put up as collateral and borrow other assets. Some assets are blue chips; others are there to sweeten the pot to get better rates from lenders.
   2. Have a basket of assets they essentially want to sell (no intention to repay the loan).
   3. Personas:
      1. **Altcoin whale (Primary)**- has a basket of one or many altcoins that there is no liquidity for. Is able to accept a much lower offer for it then the market price.
      2. **DAOs** that want to sell their assets. A good example can be seen [here](https://gov.ribbon.finance/t/rgp-17-ribbon-bond-issuance/583).
      3. **NFT borrowers** (To be validated in the future) - people that want to own an asset to use it in game or just to show it of.
2. **Lenders**
   1. Who don't mind taking the basket of assets incase the loan is not repaid or certain LTV thresholds are met.
   2. Personas:
      1. **Big Liquidity providers (Secondary)** - are happy to accept certain altcoins (e.g. blue chip products or potential blue chips) for a good discount rate if the Borrower does not plan to repay its debt. Otherwise they receive some good APY.
      2. **Deal scalpers (Secondary)** - people who are sitting in the dApp and looking for best deals, making great (for them) counter offers where there is no liquidity.
3. **Admin** - manages the health of the product.
4. **Affiliates** - Onboard new traders via referral links.
5. **Platform owners** - wallets who receive platform fees. Product owners.

# Bisaar test cases

### **How to start testing**

1. Get some Goerli testnet ETH from <https://faucet.paradigm.xyz/> or <https://goerlifaucet.com/>.
2. Mint some test tokens on Goerli testnet network. You can find test tokens and NFTs here - [Mint tokens and NFTs](https://www.notion.so/Bisaar-Contract-address-goerli-9dd3f76978654e4c9e7aae3fdc9e8606). ⚠️ USDT is currently in this app not worth 1$, but more like 0.0000001$. If your loan amount looks huge that’s normal.
